WASHINGTON, Feb. 28, 2026 /Christian Newswire/ — The vigil will be held on Sunday, March 1, at 3:00 PM on the southeastern Capitol steps. (The House of Representatives side.)
The leaders will be especially praying for God to guide the Trump Administration and Congressional members on making the right and just decisions moving forward.
They will also be displaying a large banner which says, “Pray And Stand With Iran.”
Here is a Joint Statement from Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition and Alexei Laushkin, Founder of Kingdom Mission Society:
“After the military strikes against Iran yesterday, the world is facing an historic moment that will impact generations to come. In light of this, we are gathering on the steps of the United States of America calling for Americans to pray for God’s guidance and direction.
“Here are some of the specific things we are asking our nation to pray for:
“Pray for a quick and peaceful end to this military intervention.
“Pray for the safety of all innocent Iranian citizens.
“Pray for a peaceful regime change LED by the people of Iran and NOT the American government.
“Pray for the Trump Administration and all of our political and military leaders to seek God and make the right and just decisions moving forward.
“Pray for the safety and protection of all the heroic members of our military serving in this operation and those from Israel.
“Pray for the Iranian Christian community and nationwide spiritual awakening.”
