Standing up for a deep personal conviction and a God willing to die for us. Yep…sounds pretty hateful to me! Good grief! For the record, Christians must obey God’s laws before the government’s, regardless of the consequences to us, and disagreeing with people is not hateful. In fact, it may be the most loving thing we can do. For the scriptures are clear:
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.”
Luke 6:22-23 ESV
