WABASH, Ind., June 24, 2026 /Christian Newswire/ — What started as a homework assignment at a small grad school in North Dakota, has turned into a global ministry.
Nine years ago, Dave Jacob, a missionary in residence at Trinity Bible College (ND), sat in a grad class titled, Generational Succession, and wondered how to send more young people to increase the number of missionaries around the world.
“After writing a paper on missionary succession and spending months in prayer, the Lord led me to start a website containing resources for missions mobilizers and churches,” Jacob said. “And then I started getting emails and phone calls from missions agency staff.”
Missions mobilizers working at sending agencies and denomination headquarters from all over the world contacted Jacob asking for help to send more missionaries and Gospel Mobilization was born.
Today, Gospel Mobilization resources, trains, and coaches mission agency and church staff, equipping them to send more laborers to some of the most unreached places on earth.
Already this year, Gospel Mobilization has trained and resourced staff from over 180 missions-sending agencies.
“Gospel Mobilization is helping us engage with potential missionaries from the younger generations,” said Will White, Manager of Mobilization at Mission Aviation Fellowship. “Since working with them, we’ve seen an increase in the number of missionary pilots interested in serving with us.”
You just never know how a simple homework assignment could turn into a global ministry that impacts thousands of people for the Lord.
