ZAGREB, Croatia, June 18, 2026 /Christian Newswire/ — For the first time in history, local churches partnered together—joined by the Palau team—in a unique display of unity and purpose to bring the Good News to their city through Zagreb Fest, an evangelistic festival held June 13 in the heart of the city.
This groundbreaking partnership gathered local believers to serve their city and share the transforming hope found in Jesus Christ. Throughout the weeklong campaign, more than 1,200 people were reached in person through a variety of outreach efforts, culminating in a vibrant, family-friendly festival.
In total, through the entire Zagreb Fest campaign, 130 individuals responded to the Gospel.
“It is difficult to fully express the significance of that number,” said Dave Plowman, Director of Palau UK/Europe. “Behind every decision is a life, a family, and a future that has been touched by the transforming love of Christ. Many of those who responded had come through personal invitations from local churches and believers who have been faithfully praying and preparing for months.”
The campaign, with evangelists Andrew and Wendy Palau, included multiple gatherings leading up to the main event, such as a men’s dinner, a women’s event, and evangelistic street ministry with a team of 31 people. These strategic events paved the way for the festival on June 13, where the Gospel was clearly shared from the main stage at the Mozaik Centre.
In addition to a dynamic music lineup, Zagreb Fest featured a lively kids’ area with bounce castles, Superbook characters, freestyle football, and fun activities for all ages. Later in the evening, Andrew took the stage to share a compelling Gospel message, inviting the crowd to place their trust in Jesus Christ.
Alongside the events that took place on the ground in Zagreb, our team also launched targeted digital evangelism ads throughout the region, sharing the Good News of Jesus to people through their phones. As of the time of reporting, more than 7,100 people throughout Croatia had visited a Gospel presentation online, with 86 indicating decisions for Jesus Christ.
As local leaders continue this long-term work of discipleship, follow-up, and evangelism, the Palau team looks ahead to similar outreach campaigns in cities around the world, including upcoming festivals in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Kasoa and Kumasi, Ghana; Córdoba, Argentina; and more.
