JUPITER, FLORIDA – May 3, 2025 – Runners, families, and fitness enthusiasts gathered bright and early this morning at Ocean Cay Park for the annual Turtle Trot 5K, a beloved Town of Jupiter tradition that features a fast, flat course along A1A with stunning Atlantic Ocean views.
The main event kicked off at 7:30 a.m., following the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run at 7:10 a.m., which welcomed children 10 and under. This year’s Turtle Trot reached its participation cap of 600 runners, with many locals and visitors taking part in the festive, community-centered race.
Accuchip Timing provided official race timing and scoring, while participants of all ages competed for medals and awards. Prizes were presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as to the top three in each of 15 age group divisions.
The overall winner of the race was Cameron Lawson, 17, of Hobe Sound. Lawson finished in a mere 17 minutes 36.49 seconds.
All finishers received commemorative medals, and registered runners were given tech shirts and swag bags with items from local sponsors. After crossing the finish line, runners enjoyed a continental breakfast, live music, and complimentary post-race massages.
While the event is organized by the Town of Jupiter Recreation Department, no specific charitable cause or organization was highlighted as the race beneficiary this year. Nonetheless, the Turtle Trot continues to serve as a hallmark of civic pride and healthy living in the Jupiter community.
