Though I have been a believer in Christ for almost 29 years, and I have had the privilege of serving Him in many extraordinary places, somehow I never got around to memorizing the books of the Bible until I became a Sunday School teacher in Florida last year. My class and I have had the Old Testament down for a while now (in fact most of them had it down before I arrived). Now it is time to move on to the New Testament, so I found a good version on YouTube and brought it to class. It was fun seeing my class get excited about the song, but all day long I have had, “Let’s sing the New Testament…Let’s sing the New Testament…” stuck in my head. I am pretty sure God endowed music with a special power over the memory, and something tells me I’ll have these New Testament books memorized in no time flat.
